The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reimagined as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.
Escola joins a number of new cast members set to bring the organization to life, including head the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Although the role is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
