The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the field.

In contrast, Mark Walter received a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict him taking the stage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
