Former Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former physician has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations come after what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences include:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
